Lumarix Footer

Overview

The Lumarix footer is built using the page builder, this makes it easy to edit and extend at any time.

There are two footer sections:

  • The footer bar - a bar that sits above the main footer links which contain payment methods and social media links.

  • The main footer - the section which contains the main links, organized into columns.

How to add links/edit

To edit the footer sections, go to Content > Blocks

Select either Footer or Footer bar and select edit, then Edit with Page Builder

Add a payment method

To add a payment method, duplicate one of the existing methods, open the image settings (click the cog), and upload the new desired payment method image.

The image dimensions should be 64x39.

In the image settings, add a value to “Alternative Text”, this makes the image accessible to visually impaired customers and can improve your SEO.

Rearrange payment methods

Simply drag the payment method image block in the order you want.

Edit socials

Click the cog on the HTML code for the socials column to open the settings.

If you are simply updating a link, replace the link in href='' to the new link for the relevant social.

To remove a social remove the row with the related social.

To add a new social, please contact support.

Editing the HTML code for socials is risky, an error made in editing may cause issues or downtime for your site, if unsure please contact support.

Duplicate an existing link or add in a simple text element from the sidebar.

Click the icon of a chain/link

Enter in the details for the link

  • URL: The link to the page, if internal the link should just start with a forward slash followed by the path to the page, if the link is external it should include the whole URL.

  • Text to display: What the user sees on the frontend.

  • Title: This is used for accessibility and SEO.

  • Target: This should be None unless you wish for the link to open in a new window (useful for info sheets).

Select the text in the link you want to edit.

Click the ‘Insert/edit link' button, edit as noted in Add a link.

Add a column

Hover over one of the existing columns and duplicate it.

Make sure each column is at least 4/16 wide by dragging the edge of the column to fit (if there are less than 4 columns, the last column should fill the remaining space).

In the new column, edit the title text to the name of the new column.

In the new column add/edit the links as necessary.
