Understanding Lumarix
Lumarix is built up on top of the standard Luma theme, it is never meant to be a theme on it's on, what it's meant to be is three main things;
- The application of Rixxo's years of ecommerce knowledge when it comes to UX and design
- A framework of supported plugins that adds functionality to the site while maintaining a consistent look and the ability to turn on or off as needed without affecting the look
- A moving of colours, spacing and other design factors that need to be consistent into a variable structure so that it is made to be easily skinned on top of.
What this means is we only need to really apply branding, tweaks and project specific stylings on top of Lumarix. Meaning that most changes on a project will be in fact be done on Lumarix and then pulled into the Project Theme. The only exceptions are for features that are for functionality that will only ever be specific for that client or deliberate changes to design decisions that we don't want to offer as an option within Lumarix.
